Bourn again Shrews shock Cherries

It was an unexpected win for Town, after the weekend's defeat and with Bournemouth appearing to be an in-form side.

Goals from Rodgers and Logan, along with an OG, gave Salop an impressive sounding 3-0 lead, before the South-coasters got one back. The scoreline was made to look close after another OG in injury time.

The game started badly for Jimmy Quinn's men, losing flair midfielder Ben Smith with a dislocated shoulder after only 12 minutes. It could be a devastating blow for Town, because if surgery is required on the joint, Smith will be out for six months.

Boss Quinn praised the team, saying: 'I thought that was probably our best performance for a long-time, we seemed to relax and play well and score some good goals.'

Let's hope this bodes well for the future.
