Veteran striker Naylor had been training at the club for the past fortnight but Town gaffer Jimmy Quinn doesn't believe he would improve the squad, 'He played a couple of times for the reserves, but he's probably not better than what we've already got at the club,' he said.

The news comes as it emerged that Duane Darby will not be available for the upcoming match, with no clear explanation of his injury. It is thought that there may be cartilage floating on his knee and he will see a specialist.

Finally, it was confirmed that superfluous defender Leon Drysdale had left the club. Quinn said: He's accepted a settlement and it's unfortunate, hopefully, he'll get regular football now because he's a good defender and a decent lad'.
