The 20-year-old defender, who has made five appearances for the Sky Blues, has recently impressed during two spells at Tranmere Rovers.
Town boss Graham Turner told the club's official website: "He's a player I've seen a few times and had watched and is one where the loan deal could possibly turn into a permanent one.
"We want to take a look at him but more importantly he wants to come and train with us and take a good look at Shrewsbury Town."
