Veteran midfielder Ian Woan has signed a new one-year contract with Salop.
The former Nottingham Forest, Barnsley and Swindon Town star joined the Shrews at the turn of the year and quickly established himself in Kevin Ratcliffe's first team.
Speaking to the club's official website SHREWSWEB, Woan commented: "Obviously Kevin being here had a big influence in me coming to Town, as I've know him for a while.
"I don't think we were far short this season of being a very good team, from what I saw during the games I've been here.
"They're a great bunch of lads here and we pushed all the way this season, and realistically we've got to be looking at the play-offs next season."
