The unusual deal will see Lawrence training with Man Utd but playing for Shrewsbury. The reason for this being that he needs to catch up on his college work.
Boss Jimmy Quinn was delighted at securing Lawrence, who has scored twice in his six appearances. He said: 'He's a terrific player and you could see that the other night where he came in and did a great job'.
Lawrence has the ability to play at left-back or on the left side of midfield and his versatility will give Quinn options should injuries or suspensions crop up in the play-off competition.
