Shrewsbury's oldest player, Kevin McIntyre, has pledged to carry on playing as long as possible.Celebrating his 33rd birthday, he told BBC Radio Shropshire: "I suppose I'm a veteran, but I'm still young at heart - as the rest of the lads will tell you.
"I'm enjoying myself - you've got to. A football career doesn't last forever, and the older you get the more you appreciate what's around you."
The utility man cost Shrewsbury £50,000 from Macclesfield in January 2008.
A year later McIntyre broke his leg away to Port Vale, but he returned towards the end of the season - and scored a crucial goal in the League Two play-off semi-final against Bury.
It took the game to extra time and a penalty shootout which Shrewsbury won to get to Wembley,
where they eventually lost in the last minute to Gillingham
McIntyre was a first-team regular in the 2009/10 season, and in May 2010 he signed a one-year contract extension.
He has played under Gary Peters, Paul Simpson and Graham Turner in his time at the club.
"Throughout my career, you think - some things managers do you might agree with, some not. All managers are different, but you know they're only doing their best for you and the team," he added.
"They've all had their own ideas and all three have been good to work under."
