Missing midfield for midweek match

Boss Gary Peters has a midfield headache ahead of next Tuesday's clash at Gigg Lane.

Jamie Tolley is on international duty with the Wales u-21 squad, while Martin O'Connor misses the Bury game and the home match with Leyton Orient as well, through suspension.

Ryan Lowe is still struggling with the leg problem that prevented him from playing in Saturday's defeat to Wycombe.

The midfield conundrum could see a chance for new signing Carl Clampitt, the former Liverpool trainee plucked from the North West Counties league. Clampitt featured in the Reserve team 1-1 draw against Macclesfield last night. John Grant was the scorer after he was played in by Kevin Street.

Dave Walton also played in the game, and must be pushing for a recall to the first team for Saturday's game, along with Neil Ashton, who should replace the suspended Challis.
