Quinn promises new signings at Meadow

Quinn had a couple of calls to make before holidaying in the Carribbean, with no names at this stage. He went on to say that there would be three or four new players before the season kicked off.

Quinn said: 'By the start of the season there will be three or four new faces in the side'. The Town boss believes that some bolstering is required if Shrewsbury are to be a force in the Football League.

He said: 'We have the nucleus of a decent side and we just need a little more quality for what's hopefully going to be a good season for us'.

The gaffer said that he was keen to keep out-of-contract stars Martin O'Connor and Ryan Lowe at the Meadow. He also said a player-coaching role for O'Connor had been 'discussed'.

Two other players look less likely to be on Town's books next year. Ian Dunbavin and Leon Drysdale were both loaned out last season and Quinn said of the duo: 'They won't figure in my plans so it's in their own interests to get themselves fixed up'.
