Quinn: We threw it away

Quinn lamented his team's defending in the last few minutes which saw visitors Exeter grab two late goals to snatch a point at the Gay Meadow.

Quin told the Shropshire Star: 'We didn't win our headers, we didn't win the second ball and we didn't pick men up - that's why we've come in and only got a point out of the game'.

It is not the first time Salop have given away a lead this season, and with points at a premium in the play-off run-in, Quinn was not happy. He said: 'We were ball watching and it's been a problem all season where players don't take responsibility to pick people up, I've seen it numerous times on the video and we go through it time after time after time but still we get people doing it'.

The Town chief blamed panic in the ranks for the late lapse which saw Exeter score twice in the last five minutes.

However, he praised the fans for turning out on the cold and wet afternoon, and reserved praise for scorers Duane Darby and Lee Lawrence - two players surely playing below the level they are capable of.
