Rats On the Everton Job.

Last updated : 14 March 2002 By
Kevin Ratcliffe has admitted that he would be interested in the Everton managers job.

He said: "I have made no secret in the past that I would like to become Everton manager." Since he has been at Shrewsbury he has always said his aim is to become Everton manager - but this chance has just come to early for him.

He also commented on the job Walter Smith has done at Everton. " Walter has done a good job in the circumstances. If he hadn't been doing the job as well as he has been Everton would have been dead and buried and not in the Premier leauge a while ago.

"Money talks in football these days - look at Man United, Arsenal and Newcastle, they are up there because of the millons they have spent on new players. Everton have not had that, the most they have spent on a player is £5.5million on Nick Barmby.
