Matt Sadler has expressed his desire to stay on at Shrewsbury when his six-month loan deal ends in January."I'm loving it here, I've been an ever-present in the side, and it's silenced some of my doubters," the Watford defender told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"I'm in good condition physically and mentally. and when you're playing regularly, you feel fantastic."

Bristol Rovers' Mark Wright is also in talks with Shrewsbury over whether his six-month deal will be extended.

Sadler, 25, who was loaned out to Stockport by Watford last season, added: "The whole staff here are excellent.

He's the best defensive left-back we've had since Gay Meadow days

"Graham Turner's fantastic. The gaffer's more than happy to have you in his office and give you a pointer in the right direction if need be, and it's the same for (assistant manager) John Trewick - giving you that little push that perhaps at certain stages you need.

"I want to get things sorted. I feel part of the promotion chase here."
