Safe at last

Town are now nine ponts above Kidderminster, with three games remaining and a vastly superior golad difference.

The 1-1 draw came courtesy of a Mike Sheron penalty after Luke ROdgers was fouled. It marked Sheron's first goal at the Town.

Boss Gary Peters told ShrewsWeb: "The pleasing thing is that we are safe with three games to go, the job's done and now we can go and play some football."

Peters also paid tribute to Town's defending which assured the draw: "There was a lot of pressure in the second half and I wouldn't have wanted to have my life defended by any other bunch of lads, they did brilliantly, put their heads in and always try to get something in the way to block the opposition out," he lauded.

And Peters said he was now focussed on exiting the division via the other door next season: "All we've done is stop us dropping down a division, what we need to do now is plan so we can get promoted out of this division."
