The influential winger had been out of the first team fold for some time, after a combination of injury and suspension.

The news comes as a boost to Jimmy Quinn's men who are in positive mood after the win at Barnet.

It was an essential victory for Town, who had lost their three previous games. The hero was Duane Darby who scored the only goal of the game. The victory sent Shrewsbury back into a play-off spot at the expense of their hosts.

Of the win, boss Quinn said: 'I thought we were the better side and could have won by more'.

Quinn praised the performance of his players, saying: 'I'm very proud of my players because three of them were carrying a knock. All credit to them'.

Town could improve their chances of making the post-season with a win against Exeter, who are one place above them. The Shrews could be further boosted by the return of Jamie Tolley after his shin injury but Darren Moss is suspended. Dave Ridler should be back after his late withdrawal from the Barnet game due to flu. Dave Edwards could also be in contention after his shoulder problem.

If Town beat Exeter, they will overtake the south coast side and still have two games in hand over the other play-off contenders.
