Shrewsbury Town v Port Vale

Last updated : 07 March 2011 By BBC Sport

Shrewsbury are waiting on striker Matt Harrold (tonsilitis), who was forced off in Saturday`s 3-2 victory at Northampton, feeling exhausted.Defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff (dead leg) expects to be fit, but midfielder Sean McAllister (hernia) is still out.

Port Vale's Gary Roberts is back from a three-game ban, while fellow midfielder Louis Dodds is also pushing to start.

Dodds came off the bench to score a stunning goal in Vale's 2-1 win over Macclesfield on Saturday.

Vale centre-back Gareth Owen (ankle) continues to work his way back to full fitness but is not expected to be involved.

Keeper Stuart Tomlinson looks set to have to make do with a place on the bench as sixth-placed Vale look for their third straight win at Shrewsbury.

Shrews boss Turner was still a player the last time the Shropshire club tasted league success over Vale - in March 1978.

But the two teams have met just five times in the league in the intervening 33 years - and Town have twice won in cup clashes between the two sides.
