Simpson feels Shrewsbury pressure

Shrewsbury boss Paul Simpson has called on his players to be brave in turning round their six-game losing run - and help him keep his job."Everyone's playing for their futures - we've got 10 of them out of contract at the end of the season," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"The chairman's very supportive, but they're also playing for my future."

"We need results soon, or the decision will be taken out of my hands, and there's not a lot I can do about it."

Simpson admitted feeling the pressure, but said: "It comes with the job, and it's how you deal with it.

"I know some fans have turned against me - but not all.

"I accept I've made mistakes this season, and I accept results-wise we've probably gone backwards - the league table doesn't lie.

"But when I came here the club was going downwards, and I think the chairman knows I'm moving the club on.

"He's been very supportive, and I hope he stays supportive."
