The ShrewsMad verdict

Last updated : 27 April 2005 By Matthew Gamble
The main player of the year category is a tricky one. Last year's winner Tinson has not been the same player this season, and Stuart Whitehead has been the most consistent of the players nominated.

Jamie Tolley, sometimes brilliant, has been outshone by the versatile Ashton, but he is till on loan and may not be at the club next year.
SHREWSMAD VERDICT: STUART WHITEHEAD

As for the youngsters, Langmead has had a big impact since joining the side, but without a full season under his belt, its hard to see him winning here. Hart has only just broken into first team affairs, and the same reasons apply to Ashton as before. The smart money is on a repeat for Edwards, who has popped up with some key goals at key times this season.
SHREWSMAD VERDICT: DAVID EDWARDS

Most improved player is anyone's guess, it could be Edwards again but ShrewsMad would like to see Langmead recognised for his work since joining.
SHREWSMAD VERDICT: KELVIN LANGMEAD
