Town slipped out of the automatic promotion places and down one to fourth - two points adrift - following the reverse at the EBB Stadium.
There are now just five games remaining to reclaim a top-three finish and avoid the lottery of the play-offs, and Turner insists Shrews cannot afford to waste any time getting back to winning ways.
"If you come off the pitch having lost like we've done then you've probably got no right to be in the top three," he said. "I wouldn't have any complaints about that.
"You've got to earn the right to be in there and we've now got five games left, three of them at home, starting with Stockport on Saturday - it's important we bounce back in that one."
