Turner eyes additions

Thursday evening represents the final cut-off point for Football League clubs to boost their squads this term, and Turner is determined to utilise the opportunity.

The Shrews boss was a busy man on the final day of the January transfer window, although additions Paul Downing and Lee Nicholls are set to return to their respective parent clubs this month while Town midfielder Steve Leslie last week joined Hereford on loan.

"I`ll be looking to sign a couple of players before the transfer deadline closes on Thursday as I think we possibly need a little bit more strength," Turner told the club`s official website.

"You need to make sure players stay nice and fresh and keep that belief that we are good enough to get promotion. I do feel the belief is there in the squad and if we can add a couple of new faces then that will help to strengthen us."

Meanwhile, striker James Collins will now be available for Saturday`s trip to Bradford having withdrawn from Republic of Ireland Under-21 duty this weekend.
