Turner hopes for additions

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner is looking to utilise the loan market for defensive reinforcements ahead of Tuesday`s trip to Crewe with a host of players on the sidelines. Full-back Dave Raven suffered a recurrence of his groin problem just 18 minutes into Saturday`s 2-1 win over Barnet before centre-back Ian Sharps went off with a hamstring strain shortly after half-time. Daniel O`Donnell came on to replace Sharps but he too is in the treatment room having suffered a reaction to his second-half display. Raven and Sharps will miss out at Gresty Road while O`Donnell is doubtful, and the trio join fellow defender Harry Hooman who is still struggling with a blow to his foot sustained while playing for the reserves last week. Youngster Connor Goldson could be thrown in to the mix but he has only just returned from tendonitis, leaving Turner with little option but to look to the loan market. Winger Lionel Ainsworth (groin) and midfielder Lewis Neal (calf) remain doubts having missed out at the weekend, while strikers Tom Bradshaw (ankle) and Nathan Elder (knee) will definitely have to watch from the stands.
