The Shrews beat Cheltenham 1-0 on Saturday but Wycombe's 3-1 win over already promoted Bury leaves the Chairboys with a one-point advantage in the head-to-head-battle for the third and final automatic promotion place, with only one game remaining.
"Wycombe are in the driving seat but all we can do is win our home game and hope a result goes well elsewhere," Turner told the Shropshire Star.
"We are still breathing down their necks and if there is any slip up at all, we are still in there.
"You do get some surprises in the last match of the season. They go into it under pressure knowing nothing less than a win will suffice providing we do our jobs.
"They have to assume we will win so it just adds a little bit for them."
