Turner slams sloppy Shrews

First-half goals from Danny Hylton and Ben Herd put the Shrews on the back foot before the break and Hylton added the third from the spot with 13 minutes remaining.

"There was nothing in it for the first 20 or 25 minutes. I thought we had some decent possession in that period, but we didn't make the most of it," Turner said.

"We were a bit sluggish and slow, and the two goals in quick succession really knocked the stuffing out of us. We got what we deserved, which was nothing.

"I think it's too easy to say it's one of those days. We lost badly at Torquay, coming back with a three wins and a draw. We need to something similar now, with a reaction after this defeat.

"There have been one or two harsh words in the dressing room, if nothing else among the players themselves. The coaches and myself have obviously contributed to what has gone on."
