Turner- We didnt work hard enough

Jake Robinson scored twice against his parent club as they thrashed Shrewsbury 5-0. Gavin Tomlin set the ball rolling with a debut strike, and after Jermaine Grandison was sent-off for the Shrews, Robinson bagged a brace.

Chris Zebroski got a fourth before Shrewsbury skipper Ian Sharps appeared to get the last touch to a Craig Stanley cross-cum-shot late on.

Turner said: "If anything was going to go wrong it was going to go wrong in this game. You can`t disguise a poor performance. The work wasn't there.

"We`ve just had a discussion and the first thing was that we didn't work hard enough. We just didn't press Torquay and they showed their work, their enthusiasm.

"Sometimes you can get a positive result from such a poor performance. We`ve got to get over this one. We`ve lost the game and been poor, it doesn't matter who has scored."
