What The Gaffers Thought

John Cornforth (Exeter City FC)

"I was pleased with the second half performance," he said. "I thought we were capable of scoring one or two goals today, but I think that a draw was a fair result. We have taken four points from Shrewsbury this season which is a good performance against a team in the play-offs."
"I am pleased with a point after giving away two dodgy goals, although once we equalized for the second time I thought there would only be one winner. It took an Andy Roscoe rocket to fet us a draw."
Cornforth was at a loss to explain how his side have a habit of badly in the first halves of games. "It takes me to go balistic at half-time to get them going. Maybe I will start going ballistic with them on a Thursday to get them going for the first half in future."

Kevin Ratcliffe (Shrewsbury Town FC)

Kev wasn't happy in scoring twice and still losing."You'll always be disappointed when you go away and score two goals and don't win. We knew they wouldn't be as bad second half as they were in the first"

He also commented on Greg Rioch's performance and his former target Christian Roberts. "Greg has had a little bit of a tough time today, but he was playing against a great player in Christian Roberts. If Roberts hadn't been playing I don't think they would have go anything from the game."

He also gave his views on Tony Lormor "I thought we should have had a penalty in the first half when Tony Lormor was brought down. The lads gone in with a sliding tackle and taken Tony. Tony Lormor's done excellent and got across the defender (for the second goal), he's nicked the ball back to Matty and he's hit the ball and if the keeper does get a hand to it, it'll probably break it as he's hit it so hard!"

"This could be a very important point come the end of the season."
