Kevin Ratcliffe was unhappy at the result of the play-off 6 pointer against Rochdale at Spotland.He said: "It was a disappointing way to lose. I said at half-time to the players the match was going to be won through a set-piece. I told them just to make sure it was ours and not theirs.
"It was never going to be a pretty game with two teams out there desperate for the points and I thought we at least deserved a point."
Rochdale manager John Hollins was delighted with the three points saying: "It was a massive win, especially after dropping a place in midweek through not having a game. Whoever scored the first goal, in my opinion, was going to win the game.
"It was a tough encounter, but fortunately we got that all important goal. I thought we created a lot of good chances and that makes me feel better."
