Goldson at the double for ShrewsDefender Connor Goldson headed both goals as Shrewsbury moved another step closer to promotion with a comfortable 2-0 home win over Dagenham.A fourth win in a row leaves Shrews just a point adrift of leaders Burton.Dagenham started brightly and Billy Bingham went close to giving them an early lead when his long-range shot flew just wide.But it was all Shrewsbury once Goldson headed them in front with a powerful header from Liam Lawrence's 17th-minute corner.Five minutes later Goldson had struck again, his seventh goal of the season, with a looping header from yet another pinpoint Lawrence free-kick.Dagenham were then indebted to goalkeeper Mark Cousins for making a string of fine saves from Mickey Demetriou, Ryan Woods and Jermaine Grandison as Shrewsbury looked dangerous every time they went forward.Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro also fired narrowly wide after a tremendous run from the halfway line.Cousins again came to his side's rescue after the break with an excellent stop from a James Collins volley.Dagenham rarely threatened, although Jamie Cureton fired one effort into the side netting, as Shrewsbury registered a 23rd clean sheet of the season in all competitions
