Robins crash to defeat

Swindon surrendered a first-half lead as Paolo Di Canio's side crashed to a 2-1 defeat against Shrewsbury.

The Robins have failed to win on the road in the league this season but things looked bright when Matt Richie nodded them ahead before the break.

But the home side fought back and were level within four minutes of the restart when Terry Gornell headed in Lionel Ainsworth's pinpoint delivery.

Swindon conceded again in the 71st minute when Ainsworth picked out Morgan at the far post to head home.

With the result coming soon after his side's lacklustre defeat to local rivals Oxford, Di Canio is under pressure, although a midweek Carling Cup win over Bristol City brought some relief.
