Turners boys raise the bar

Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner has challenged his players to maintain their standards after seeing them secure a deserved 2-1 win at Crewe. Mark Wright struck the winner in time added on after setting the visitors on their way with the opening goal in the fifth minute, while Shaun Miller pulled one back for the Alex four minutes into the second half. Turner said: "We had talked about our away record being so poor, but the boys have come out and set a standard which I don't expect them to drop below now. "We played extremely well and it would have been a travesty if we hadn't won. "We showed great resilience and if our overall work-rate was outstanding and if our final ball had been better we could have scored more. "I have the highest regard for Dario Gradi and his teams and we have beaten a very good team here."
